I’m from Shanghai, China .Before I joined Rimagine, I was working as a freelance photographer.
What’s your job and how does a normal day look like?
My job is to shoot shoot shoot - on a daily basis, in and out. And that's what I love doing.
What do you like about your job ?
Photography is the most important thing in my life. Photography gives me the opportunity to get to know many more things than in normal like - it's like seeing the true core of things. It let's me feel fresh and special. So when we take one picture from same angle, different time will have another special feeling.
Who do you work with the most in the company?
Most of my colleague have the work cooperation with me such as account manager, retoucher, photography assistants and even receptionist who provide the logistic help for me.
Which projects do you enjoy working on the most?
The most interesting cooperation is working with top brands such as Adidas. Because of the high-end clothing and fabrics, we once chose the golf course as the shooting location. All people of the client were nice and very professional. They even suggested a lot of good ideas during the shoot. So you can image that you work with a nice client in this blue sky environment. What a amazing working day.
What is your favorite place in China and why?
Every place which I haven’t been all attracts me. I like all new things, especially the civilization.
Which people or artists inspire you?
Ansel Adams developed the "burning" and "dodging". This technique affects many people, also me and it lets me gain more from it. But what makes me always look in awe is his seeking greater from perfection. Of course this is just about the skill. And on the other side, we do the best .That will be a good photo.
What are important skills for your job?
I think the most important skill is communication. We must get in touch with clients, account managers, people we shot for, and assistants. All these communication can let you what you do now, what you should do next and how to do it. These are the perfect photographer should have.
