Thanks so much to everybody who joined our Grand Opening Party last week in Dallas, TX – check out this little video which shows what was going on during our May 3rd Open House! In total, 125 friends spent their evening with us – lots of tasty food, beautiful calligraphy from a Chinese calligraphy artist, lots of funny and creative photo booth action and several fun speeches!

Dallas Studio Opening – Save The Date!

We are nothing but excited to announce that we will open our first overseas photo studio! It will be in the U.S., to be precise in Dallas, TX! Come and celebrate with us the grand opening at an open house event on Thursday, May 3, 2012 at 4100 W. Royal Lane in Irving, Dallas, Texas.

Lorenz Wagener, founder and managing director of Rimagine, will attend, along with other senior executives from Chicago, San Francisco and, of course, Dallas. “We are very excited to announce to the Dallas community and the
rest of the country that the new Rimagine Photo Studio is now open for business,” said Lorenz.

Nancy Schachtner, founding partner and COO of YFYJupiter, our new mother company, adds “Merging Rimagine into the growing YFYJupiter family enables us to provide a powerful combination of photography and other branding services, such as graphic design and packaging design.”

On-Going Photo Shoots

Below are some behind the scene shots from two large location productions we are currently working on: One job is for a large American medical supply company which we shoot in a hospital in Shanghai..

.. the other one is for a company which produces bathroom and kitchen products. Coincidentally, both companies are from the U.S. Each location shoot involves models, stylists, hair-and-make-up artists, one of our photographers, producers and assistants.

Product Group Shots for EKCESS

We just created two simple but we think lovely product group shots for our long-term customer EKCESS (www.ekcess.net). The company, based in China and in the U.S., looks for innovative merchandising items to import them into the U.S. The company has already been operating successfully since a long time.

We regularly shoot products for them since many years, having done the first shoot in Shanghai in 2006. At this stage we would like to thank Tyler and his entire team for the on-going business! We also hope we soon get the chance to do a third catalog!

Special Effect Shot for FUNC

Our photographer Ray and art director Jonathan Weston created this awesome special-effect shot with water splashes for the great guys over at FUNC FACTORY (www.funcfactory.com), producer of functional golf, ski and beach sports wear. The shot was used for one of their first ad campaigns in the U.S., and was well received by their clients.

In order to create this shot, we put a huge inflatable water pool in the middle of our studio and rented special Broncolor lights to capture the fast-moving water drops in the way we wanted it! Thanks for the great cooperation!
