About The Client
Lotus is the leading supermarket chain in Thailand, owned by Tesco. The company operates several super- and hypermarkets throughout Asia. 

  
Problem
Lotus stores are huge in proportions. Ceiling heights of 10 meters plus are often the standard. As everybody knows, it's easy to get lost in such hypermarkets. The Lotus China team approached Rimagine in 2007 to ask if we could help to create multiple large-format in-store signs to better guide their 1,000s of daily customers through their aisles. The goal was simple: To make it easier for customers to find their desired products.  
 
 
Solution
We firstly created a series of different layouts which showed different options how the signs could generally look like.  We tried different background types, colours, sets, with or without people, with our without children, and so on.  After we presented some designs which the marketing team at Lotus liked, the production team of Rimagine started to source models, brief the photographer, book a set stylist who immediately started to hunt for props, and a make-up artist.

The shooting took place on several days, followed by approx. 4 days of intensive retouching. After that, our graphic design team created the final layouts of the signs, which usually showed one model in action with a relevant product in front of a white background. At then end, we provided a DVD with all relevant artwork files plus the test-printed versions of these signs (color proofs).
